Welcome to the relaunch of our historic and beloved Wings of Truth, now reintroduced in a digital and free format. For many years, Wings of Truth served as a trusted resource for news, encouragement, and unity, sharing what God was doing in and through our Virginia Church of God of Prophecy family. It connected pastors, leaders, and members around a shared story of faith, service, and mission.
As we step into this new season, our desire remains the same. Through this digital newsletter, we aim to keep our church family informed and encouraged by sharing upcoming events, timely articles, and meaningful updates that support those serving God’s purpose across our great Commonwealth. Whether you are leading, serving, or faithfully worshiping in your local church, we pray Wings of Truth will continue to be a source of connection and inspiration.
We are grateful for the legacy of this publication and excited about the opportunities ahead. May this relaunch honor the past while embracing new ways to strengthen our fellowship and advance the work God is doing among us.
A Call to Revival
Revival is a word we hear often, but I believe God is calling us to understand it in a deeper way. Over the last few months, the Lord has been reminding me of a call He placed on my heart—a call to revival that begins with love and is lived out daily.
Discipleship Starts at Home
For too long, many families have assumed that the primary responsibility of spiritual formation belongs to the church. We bring our kids on Sundays, drop them off on Wednesdays, send them to camps, and hope that somehow faith will take root. The church plays a vital role in discipleship, but it was never meant to replace the home.
God’s design has always been clear: discipleship begins in the family.
In Deuteronomy 6:6–7, God instructs His people:
“These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”
Busy, Busy, Busy
Life feels full—so full that it’s easy to wait for a slower season that never comes. I want to encourage you to live faithfully in the middle of the busy, using God’s wisdom to know what to carry and what to release, so our days honor Him.
