Welcome to the Relaunch of Wings of Truth
Welcome to the relaunch of our historic and beloved Wings of Truth, now reintroduced in a digital and free format. For many years, Wings of Truth served as a trusted resource for news, encouragement, and unity, sharing what God was doing in and through our Virginia Church of God of Prophecy family. It connected pastors, leaders, and members around a shared story of faith, service, and mission.
As we step into this new season, our desire remains the same. Through this digital newsletter, we aim to keep our church family informed and encouraged by sharing upcoming events, timely articles, and meaningful updates that support those serving God’s purpose across our great Commonwealth. Whether you are leading, serving, or faithfully worshiping in your local church, we pray Wings of Truth will continue to be a source of connection and inspiration.
We are grateful for the legacy of this publication and excited about the opportunities ahead. May this relaunch honor the past while embracing new ways to strengthen our fellowship and advance the work God is doing among us.
A New Year, A Renewed Focus
As a new year begins, many sermons and writings remind us of fresh starts, new mercies, and renewed hope, and rightly so. Rather than attempting to touch every encouraging truth that accompanies a new year, I want to offer one simple but meaningful question: What is your focus this year?
Discipling the Next Generation
Let’s be honest - when it comes to discipling the next generation, it is often difficult to know where to start. Between the ever-changing culture, their instant access to information and a technology dominated lifestyle, finding ways to disciple the next generation can seem like an impossible feat.
A Pause From the Heart
As we look ahead, there is so much we don’t yet see. Plans unfold, questions remain, and the path before us isn’t always clear. It can be tempting to want answers before we take the next step, but faith often asks us to move forward without having everything figured out. In those moments, I’m reminded that trust doesn’t require certainty, it simply asks for surrender.
The Promise of Joy
What an eventful start to 2026! Between the holidays, sickness, snow and everything else, it felt like there wasn’t a whole lot of time to rest. Funny how that happens, huh? But, as we step into this new year, I am reminded that there is something encouraging about turning the calendar to a new year.
